Welcome to the OCP Server - CMS - Composability Fabric Manager Software Sub-project

OCP Composability Fabric Manager Software is a sub-project within the Server - CMS Sub-Project.

Leadership

Scope

This team will continue to explore improvements and standards based expansion of the features related to future CMA architecture and solutions to keep up with the future customer needs in this area.

The Composability Fabric Management (CFM) architecture comprises of multiple components:

  • The CFM Software setup Composition Redfish Service/Client
  • The CMA BMC Redfish Composition Service/Client (Not contributed)
  • The Client Host Redfish Service
  • The Redfish API
  • The Software CLI
  • The Software GUI

Charter

The initial CMA/CFM contribution included the basic provisioning/composition components of the CFM. The goal of this OCP CFM team is to work on optimizing these provisioning/composition components and APIs through the open-source community, and add the more innovations in the following areas:

  • Additional Container Memory Provisioning/Composition service and API
  • Dynamic Capacity Controls
  • Performance and quality of service management
