2025 OCP EMEA Summit - Breakout Sessions

The 2025 OCP EMEA Summit Call for Presentations is organized as seven main categories: Artificial Intelligence (AI),  DC Sustainability, Cyber Security and Data Protection, EMEA Deployments of OCP Recognized Solutions, Scalable IT Infrastructure, DC Physical Infrastructure, and Systems Management. In addition, invited talks will discuss photonics, OpenRAN, and others. OCP invites speakers to submit an abstract to be considered for a presentation.

Breakout Session Categories:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI):
    • Use cases (Adoption)
    • New architectures for AI Clusters
    • Data formats for deep learning
  • DC Sustainability:
    • Carbon reporting
    • Energy efficiency
    • Heat reuse
    • Data center optimization (operational efficiency, white space utilization)
    • Regulations such as EU Directives
    • Hardware Life Cycle Management, Circular Economy
  • Cyber Security and Data Protection:
    • Data security and compliance
    • Cyber security
    • Data sovereignty
  • EMEA Deployments of OCP Recognized Solutions:
    • OCP market impact
      • Deployed AI Configured Racks and Data Centers
      • Open Rack (ORV3) deployed use cases
      • Disaggregated networking deployments
    • Successful sustainability projects and results
    • OCP S.A.F.E., OCP Ready, and OCP Experience Center Program Successes
    • Cloud Services delivered using OCP recognized equipment in EMEA
  • IT Infrastructure
    • Server:
      • Modular Hardware System
      • Open Chiplet Economy
      • Composable Memory Systems
      • HPC/OAI/NIC
    • Storage
    • Networking
    • Hardware device security
  • DC Physical Infrastructure

  • Systems Management
    • Hardware management
    • Test and validation
    • Open system firmware
  • Other OCP Projects

Special Focus Sessions:

  • OpenRAN
    • The OCP Community believes the market is ready for an open hardware xG radio unit. Work towards a  common open radio unit platform with extensive modularity, and a common base that  can be shared is underway. The intent is to enable multiple use cases while maintaining basic commonality and compatibility to keep costs low.
  • Photonics
    • The enormous challenge in front of the industry scaling AI clusters is to provide the interconnect bandwidth this will require while reducing the power consumption curve of today’s interconnect technology. The next generation of optical networking will be a critical component needed to build these AI clusters. Topics to be discussed include expected architectures for AI clusters and their interconnection requirements, advances in optical networking, and the expected improvements in energy consumption.

Important Deadlines:
